Footy Draft Engine is an independent tool made by a fan. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Australian Football League or any club, and nothing it produces is official.
What this site is
A projection of the AFL national draft order and a calculator for what picks are worth in draft points. The order is reconstructed from publicly reported information and marked as a projection until it can be checked against the AFL's own.
Order and points are calculated from the AFL's published rules and points table. Nothing is estimated by hand or generated by AI. Where the AFL's rules are publicly ambiguous, the site uses a documented default and says so.
It is offered as is, with no warranty. Do not rely on it for anything that matters, betting included.
Club names and marks
Club names and abbreviations appear here as factual references to the clubs involved in the draft, which is the only way to describe a draft at all. No club logo, guernsey design, emblem or other trademarked mark is used anywhere on this site or in its source code.
Each club has an approximate colour, used to help pick it out in a list. A colour never appears without the club's name or abbreviation beside it, and it is never used as page branding. Nothing here is designed to look like an official AFL or club product.
What is collected
Nothing you type is sent anywhere.
- There are no accounts, and nothing to sign in to.
- The calculator runs in your browser. The picks you enter are not stored and not sent to any server.
- There is no database, and no cookies.
- A shared trade or bid link carries the whole trade in the link itself, and nothing is saved on this site. Like any web address, the link reaches the site's host (Cloudflare) when it is opened, and is kept in its request logs; the page-view count leaves it out.
When the page crashes, an error report is sent so it can be fixed; session replay and performance tracing are switched off, because both would capture the screen.

If you represent the AFL or a club and believe something here infringes your rights, say which page and what the problem is, and it will be removed or changed while the question is worked out rather than after. There is no legal team to get past; it is one person and an account.
